Laptop problem - Fujitsu computer with a scrambled display; Windows xp
Hi all, As of today I am getting a scrambled screen on my Fujitsu Laptop (with windows XP). It occurs whenever I watch a tv show/movie in full screen and when I have Skype opened, and it ends as soon as I close the program. The laptop itself is 4 or 5 years old (bought it 2nd hand). Thanks for all your help in advance1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi,· Do you remember making any changes to the system?· What is the model of your graphics card and who is the manufacturer?· What program are you using to watch the movies on the system?· What do you exactly mean by ‘when I have Skype opened, and it ends as soon as I close the program’?· Does this happen when you try to watch the movies that are already stored on the system? Method 1:I would suggest you to update the graphics card drivers on the system and check whether the issue is resolved. I would suggest you to check the link mentioned below. How to manage devices in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/283658 Method 2:I would suggest you to place the system in clean boot state and then watch the movies and check whether the issue persists. Follow the steps mentioned in the article given below. How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" statehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Note: Put the system in Normal Startup by following the steps mentioned in ‘Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state’ section. Hi Thahaseena, Thank you for your reply. 1. My roommate updated the operating system a couple of days ago. I am not quite sure what exactly he did, however, he told me they were just harmless system updates (Now I'm not quite sure if I can believe him ;) ).2. I would have to check into that. However, the laptop is at my girlfriends place (it's her laptop), so it will take a day or two until I see it again.3. VLC & Windows mediaplayer4. It usually happens when I am in a video call (as soon as the video goes on) on Skype.5. I have tried with both movies stored on my system, as well as with movies online. Both cause the scrambled (snowy) screen when full screened. Thank you again, I will try both methods.
