I've done an upgrade from Vista on my laptop (Toshiba Equium), but when resuming from sleep the screen doesn't initialise. It also seems to happen if you let Windows turn off the screen, but with sleep disabled.Any thoughts? I may try a clean install over the weekend.

I have done a clean install. Sometimes (but rarely) win7 hangs when entering to sleep. When it go to sleep, It woke up every time. (gods, am I speaking about software or about a child ;) )

I have the same problem with a dell Precision M90. When I put it to sleep, on wake up the screen remains black. Also noticed that when I connect an external monitor, W7 changes to display on the external monitor, but the laptop screen stays on, it's black but the backlight stays on.
