Not exactly the same capacity as the RC. RC is Ultimate, and you're able to apply "Multilingual User Interfaces" (MUI) that translate nearly all parts of the system language. With Home Premium or Prof, you can only apply "Language Interface Packs" (LIP) that translate parts (~80%) of the display language and keyboard layouts. You can check the difference if you simply visit microsoft.com: If you have a MUI set on EN-US, you will be directed to the U.S. site, if you use an English LIP, you will be directed to the correspondent site of your base language (that's only an example, there are quite a few more differences). More information here (applies to Windows 7, too): http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/35a1b021-d96c-49a5-8d8f-5e9d64ab5ecc1033.mspx.Mobile AMD64 3000+, VIA Apollo K8T800 chipset, 1 G RAM, ATIRadeonMobility 9700, 20x DVDRW, C:XPSP3 (55G),D:WIN7 (25G),F:DATA (250G)

Sorry, I must correct me. LIPs are only available for some countries, mostly with ethnic minorities or different cultures (France/Spain -> Basque, Serbian-Latin -> Serbian-Kyrillic/Bosniac, etc.). There are no LIPs for Germany. So, if you really need all the display items changed (menues, terms, notifications, etc.) - not only the keyboard layout - you'll be stuckwith Windows 7 Ultimate that allows MUIs.Mobile AMD64 3000+, VIA Apollo K8T800 chipset, 1 G RAM, ATIRadeonMobility 9700, 20x DVDRW, C:XPSP3 (55G),D:WIN7 (25G),F:DATA (250G)

Sanmartin is correct. Here is the complete explanation. The only way you can order a version of Windows in a primary language, other than the local primary language of the country youreside in, would be to place a custom order through a local retailer oran online retailer. This would probably preclude taking advantage of any special offers.Another issue is the information about the Language Interface Packs (LIPs). LIPs provide a 'partially' translated version of the most widely used areas of Windows, not the entire Operating System. They are also not available for all primary language versions of Windows and you cannot change a primary language to a different primary language. They are only available for certainprimary language versionsin countries where that country also has a substantil population that speaks a different language. An example would be that a system with a Spanish version ofWindows would have a LIP available for the Basque language, since parts of the primary language country (Spain) includes largelocal areas where Basque is spoken.Your only solution, besides ordering a different primary language version that I mentioned before, would be to use a Multi-language User Interface (MUI). The MUIs are designed to completely change the language of Windowsand can change any primary language to another primary language. These are designed primarily for Enterprise customers who maintain facilities in many different countries. The MUIsare only available in the Enterprise and Ultimate editions of Windows 7.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP
