LS File Transfer Agent error after removing EE Pool

In my test lab I have come across an interesting error after removing my EE Pool.

I get

Microsoft Lync Server 2010, File Transfer Agent service encountered an error while accessing a file share and will continuously attempt to access this file share until this issue is resolved. While this condition persists, replication to replica machines might not occur.

Access denied. (\\server.domain.local\xds-replica\from-master\data.zip)

Cause: Possible issues with file share permissions. This can occur if the computer hosting the file share has outdated cached credentials for the computer that is trying to access the file share.

Resolution:

For details about how to resolve file share permission issues, see the product documentation.

Both EE Front-end servers have been removed from the topoplogy including the pool it self. replication is working, no other errors in event viewer. I'm not sure why its still referencing the old decomissioned servers. this error is showing for both servers in the decomissioned EE pool.

Any resolution on removing this. I checked ADSI edit and the pool is gone from AD also. any other references i need to look for?T

If you look at SQL Server you should see the XDS database and in that db is a table called Replica. Do you see your old servers/pool listed there?

if i click the table dbo.Replica and right click to select the top 1000 rows. I see the 2 EE front-end server names. but in the results says "Last Seen On" and "DeletedOn" and that saud 2012-07-22 22:23:44:487

so it says its deleted....

Hi,

Please make sure the lync share folder is moved to the new server and publish the topology builder again. Run invoke-CsManagementStoreReplication on the Lync FE server and make sure the replication is successful. Then check the problem again. You also can have a try to restart the lync server.

Hi,

I'm also having this issue with a FE server that we decommissioned and can confirm that the share is showing in the replica table with a DeletedOn field.

Sean_Xiao - when you say to move the folder to the new server, our new server already has it's own FileShare in place, so we didn't "move" the old one to anywhere - is there something else we can try in this case?

We have tried the invoice-CSManagementStorereplication and reboots etc. but still see the event regularly.

I had the same error, and after looking around it seems that you have to delete these machines in SQL Backend: Here is a write about it:
