There is a LLTD Responder for XP machines so they appear correctly in the Vista Network Map. But it avaliable to CONNECT beta user only. It's still not public yet. So, you can access it if you are not invite by Microsoft. thx.

"LLTD Responder for XP" you should be able to see it under the Vista downloads on Connect. Jay

Jay, I don't see the "LLTD Responder for XP". Is there a particular connection that I'm supposee to be participating in? I'm participating in the following on Connect: Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK) Beta Program, Windows Live General Beta Tester Community, Microsoft Wireless LAN API for Windows XP SP2 beta, and Business Desktop Deployment 2007 (Beta) for Windows Vista and the 2007 Microsoft Office system.

I suggest you try Network Magic. They have a beta testing program for version 4 that is easy to join.

I don't know if you found the link to the LLTD responder download, so here is the link: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=70582 I am not a connect member so if there is a chance that you can send me the file when you get it that would be great. I am testing vista, but it makes it a little hard when microsoft makes so many hoops to jump through. here is my email address, thanks. smgarwood at gmail . com

The page exists... You need to have a Connect account in order to login... If you don't have one then you can't legally get the LLTD responder beta...
