LDAP

I have a small business network. On one of the machines running FreeBSD, I have OpenLDAP installed. I can actually access that LDAP server from MS Outlook, so I know that it is working across platforms.

My question is how do I access it from the desktop. If I type sans quotation marks "ldap://192.168.1.101" into the address bar, a "Find People" box shows up. However, no matter what name I type in the NAME box or EMAIL box, I get an error message that there are 0 entries in the directory service that match my search criteria. That is of course incorrect. If this was a *nix machine, I could debug it via the logs. On a Windows 8.1 amd64 machine, I don't have a clue.

So, does anyone have a clue how I can get this to work?

Hi,

I would like to suggest you use network monitor to trace whether the machine sends requests to the LDAP server.

You may change to use another machine then install OpenLDAP to test.
