Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on an ASUS Sabertooth x58 mobo + Core i7 3GHz CPU. Machine can browse office LAN and constituent PCs and do networking tasks - moving, opening, copying or rendering files - absolutely okay and without interruptions. However, the Internet (fed to the LAN with a DSL router) is intermittent only. During "off" times ping and traceroute do not work. LAN connectivity is not lost. Onboard Realtek 8110SC NIC diagnostics report no problems. This behavior is random. Tried static IP, changed DNS servers, changed connection outlets (different location) - behavior persists.
