LAN2 connection for Outlook Professional and LAN1 for IE. Possible ?
I use a LAN1 connection for IE (ADSL) but I loose emails via that provider (I have an email account at another provider). Some emails are not received by my customers (maybe a leak somewhere). So I want to use the internet via LAN1 but I want to send/receive my emails via LAN2 (another network). But I can only choose a LAN in Outlook but I can't choose which LAN (probably the same LAN for the internet, so LAN1).How can I fixed this (I have Outlook 2003) ? Is this fixed in another version ? Can I buy something (tool) to make this possible ? 1 person needs an answerI do too

Not really. If you're pretty skillful with your routing tables, and few people are if we're honest, you could probably configure your machine to use LAN2 for the IP address(es) of your e-mail server and LAN1 for all other addresses. Not easy or foolproof for amateurs.Might be easier to figure out what's wrong with your Outlook that you feel the need to not use the ADSL. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

HiYou can Not configure an application to work on two independent LANs, or instruct it when to work with what.If you have two LAN cards and each one is configured to a separate network and both have Internet access. W hen you ready to send disable LAN1 and it will go through LAN 2.You can create short cuts on the desktop to disable and enable the network cards with a bat file using ipconfig, this will enable you to easily enable, and disable, each connection with a double click.
