When I search for Kiosk Mode info, all I can find is references to Assigned Access, but Assigned Access only works for local users and we may need a kiosk mode for domain users.
There was something called Kiosk Mode that works for domain users, but I can't find how to get that working with Windows 8.1 Update.
I would like a set of Windows 8.1 Update workstations be set up as RDP thin terminals so that any user that logs in only gets access to the Remote Desktop store app.
I tried Assigned Access, which could be used with a shared account that automatically logs in but, with that setup, the Remote Desktop app saves the last user's name and recent connection info in the app and I can't find any way to configure it discard the history when a user disconnects from their RDP session. If I can get the Remote Desktop to stop saving the recent connections and their user names, Assigned Access would be OK.
Otherwise, we will need every user to log in with their own user profile so their RDP history will be more secure and private.
Is there a group policy setting that will prevent this app from saving recent connections and credentials?
