Kill autoconfigeration IPv4
We use static IP to connect using ipsec vpn from remote offices to a SG565 router..
We have 1 (one) roaming laptop (windows 7) using AT&T card..... (In the past it was XP sp3...Worked great) The problem manifests itself when we try to print from a Linux server
using smb client. If we set the ip address in the vpn to the same as the laptop's we have a conflict and the pptp connection will default to an autoconfigeration ip 169.xx.xxx and no throughput on the connection. If a different IP
is used, there is a good connection but we can't print... When using my old XP sp3 computer the VPN static can be the same as the computer's IP and we can share printers...... CAN I KILL AUTOCONFIGERATION IN WINDOWS 7 ?
