Keep UAC enabled but want to create file on Drive Root

Hi,

I would keep UAC enabled at least to continue to use OneDrive with the Windows Explorer..

But with UAC enabled I cannot create files in my different drives root.

Any solution to work with OneDrive and the possibility to create files at root drive ?

Thanks

Hi,

Root Drive you meant here is C drive, isn't it? What's you meaning about "But with UAC enabled I cannot create files in my different drives root."

What's different drives root refers to?

What's the type of your current user account? Administrator or standard? Generally speaking, administrator account won't encounter this problem. To use OneDrive on your system, it would be better to prompt your current Microsoft Account to Administrator.

yes I mean C drive or D,E drive.. Yes I'm administrator.

With my windows 8.1 I cannot create file at root folder.. But nvm with the windows update I disabled UAC and now OneDrive is working.

Thanks

Hi,

It's design by default that root folder of system drive couldn't be create file. In terms of OneDrive, in my opinion, it would be better to change its location to other drive in case system corrupt. Further more, you won't need to concern UAC problem.
