I am working on a Windows 7 Home Premium x64 system that will not install these two updates. The system will install Office and hardware update but these two fail at all instances. I have tried manually, through Windows Catalog, Clean Boot and of course automatic update. In all cases the updates fail with the error FFFFFFFE. This error suggests reinstalling the OS and all applications and data. The system has a working anti virus (Trend Micros Titanium) the system was scanned for infections of which none were found so I would conclude this is an extreme measure at this point. I would prefer to not go this route unless absolutely necessay. Any guidence would be appriciated.Steven Rees
