Just Curious to know if anyone gets this when I use a USB Drive - in XP - when you click to safely remove USB mass storage the light goes off on the USB Drive and you get message to remove it But in Win7 the light on the USB stays on it still says it safe to remove USB Just Curious to know if anyone gets this and why it happens bye

I haven't noticed this problem myself. I am running Win 7 Prof 32-bit SP1. After the "safe remove" and I get the message that its okay to unplug it, if I wait roughly 20 seconds, the USB HDD light turns off as the drive powers itself down. Same behaviour in Windows Server 2008 R2 incidentally. Perhaps its just this particular USB drive and it isn't true of all USB drives?
