Join new Win7 computer to domain to replace employee's old computer, old computer can no longer log in
Here's the scenario, I've got a user with Windows 7 Professional on their computer. We start configuring a brand new system to replace their old computer that also has Windows 7 Professional. Once the new computer has been joined to the domain all of the sudden the user can no longer log in to the old computer - "trust relationship between workstation........" This has happened probably 10 times to us now and it takes an act of Congress to get back in to the old system in order to rejoin the domain. Has anyone else seen this? What could be causing this? It only happens when we join a Windows 7 computer to the domain that will be used by someone already using a Windows 7 machine. The computer names are different from each other. Thanks.

Hi, Please check if this article can help you to troubleshoot the issue: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/9157.trust-relationship-between-workstation-and-primary-domain-failed-en-us.aspx Furthermore, you can also try to delete the existing computer account in Server Manager or AD, recreate the computer account, synchronize the domain, and then on the client rejoin the domain.
