Issues with an old version of MSN Messenger conflicting with Windows Live Messenger
After upgrading MSN Messenger to Windows Live Messenger, the old version wasn't deleted automatically and there is a conflict between the two. When you click on a contact from the main Windows Live Messenger screen, there is a lag of around 30 seconds before the contact box pops up. When the contact box pops up, there are two borders on the outside of the box, the outside box is the old version and the inside box is the new version. After a few seconds, the old box disappears. I have a screen shot of this, but I don't see that I can upload one here.Once the contact box is open, there is no lag unless the contact or myself try to send a file or picture, if their or any of the other contacts' statuses change, or if another contact is attempting to IM me.I found the MSN Messenger file to uninstall, which I did. I then uninstalled and then reinstalled Live. This didn't work. Please help!

Did you take a system restore image prior to installing. If so, restore back to the point, uninstall Messenger, then install windows live messenger.vader95 Windows 95-7 office 97-2010 Ubuntu 9.10-10.10
