Issues with User Profile and AppData Windows 8.1 Acer Aspire
So I was on my laptop less than 24 hours ago and it was working fine. I created another user account for my partner where I gave her access to my documents through "C://users" and left her with the laptop. She said she only used word and chrome whilst she was on it and she said it overheated at one point. Today I get back onto my laptop to find my desktop background is now black (it was a personal photograph) And I got several alerts from apps saying they couldn't start. I then went onto Chrome to watch some Netflix whilst I figure out what's wrong and it tells me that WideVine isnt on my laptop anymore when it is. Chrome also wouldnt let me sign into anything so I deleted my account with them and now that works. I have checked for viruses and there are none. I have checked logs and theres nothing suspicious. And now my start screen is completely blank. Not even the drawing at the top and bottom it's now just a blank blue screen. It's definitely apps that are acting up but I have no idea what the cause is or what I can do to solve these issues. I have even done a restore and all it has done is remove my partners account and change my password back to my old one. Please help me out and give me step by step how to? Thanks.

Hi,

About Window Restore, generally speaking, system would generate several Restore Points, please make sure you choose the oldest one of them.

If problem persists, try to run SFC /scannow command in CMD with administrator for test to fix system components.

On the other hand, this problem seems like was caused by your personal file corrupt. That's why your apps loose function.
