Issues with IE9 in QTP automation
I am getting lots of issues with IE9 while running my automation scripts.
I am in real need of IE8. Compatibility mode does't work with QTP.
Please help me how can I get IE8 in (Windows 7) system. IE9 is factory installed for my system.
Thanks,
Cumalpha

Please click Start -> type cmd in the search box -> right click cmd and select run as administrator. Then type the following command:
Command: FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*9.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestartNiki Han

Hi Niki ...
Will the COMMAND above you provided to Cumalpha work for all of us? I, too, have IE9 preinstalled on my brand new Dell XPS 8500 and cannot use the browser compatibility function either. Can I use the same command as Cumalpha? And does that
just uninstall IE9? If so, from where on Microsoft's website can I get IE8 that's actually installable onto a Win7 64bit machine?
Your guidance is much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Jan
