Issues in booting up Windows 7 Home
Hi, I am using licensed Windows 7 Home Basic in my Sony Vaio notebook. I have only one OS:in my notebook. I am facing some issues while booting my OS. To get into my windows log in screen I have to use either of following options. Keep pressing Esc/F1/F2 button till screen with "Starting windows + full Windows icon with heart beat effect" comes as part of booting process. I haven't tried any other function keys for log in. Keep pressing control+alt+ delete button till reaching the "Starting windows + full Windows icon with hear beat effect" screen. and again same key is needed for get the log in screen. If I am not using any of the above options I am able to see only the screen "Starting windows" + a dot(this dot is for Windows icon), and it will never reach the login page. Kindly help me with your suggestions to resolve this problem.

Press F8 when windows is starting and start windows in Safe Mode. Look at the device manager to see if any drivers are missing. if yes then try to update the drivers if all hardware looks fine then go to run and type msconfig try to remove all unneccessary startup programs and see if that helps. if nothing works then you might want to recover the OS to factory settings.MCSE | MCITP - Server 2008 | MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCTS - Exchange 2010

See if all the keys on keyboard are functioning properly and no key is stuck in depressed position.
