Issue with networking ping being high.
I have tried several solution to the issue currently have an ASUS a8n5x that has the Nvidia nforce4 setup I have updated the driver for windows 7 and have disabled ipv6 on the system trying via unchecking on all network adapters and also thru the registry to no resolution. If I ping my local address of 127.0.0.1 it is always higher than <1 ms that you should expect from windows. Another issue is that when this happens I'm not able to connect to the internet at all. Another weird behavor is that windows explorer will sometime stop running and restart itself several times. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, Is this computer connecting to a router? If so, please bypass the router and connect it to the network directly to see if the Internet connection fails. Please boot the system to Safe Mode with networking and see how it works. If the issue didn't appear, I suspect there should be some conflicts and please try the following to have a check: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 Thanks.
