Issue with Red Cross Anti Virus
I am trying to remove Red Cross from my PC. However, I've been blocked from going online and I've also been blocked on the task manager. Is there any other way to uninstall this. Please help. Thank you

Please see See the Remove Red Cross Antivirus (Uninstall Guide) at BleepingComputer.com . As explained there, you might have tor download the removal programs on another computer and copy them to your computer.Another possibility is to start your computer in Safe mode with networking . You might be able to get online that way.If you don't want to do it yourself, please read about the options for no-charge virus removal support from Microsoft.Boulder Computer MavenMicrosoft Most Valuable Professional

What is your system make and model? What is your XP Version and Service Pack?Does the afflicted system have a working CD/DVD drive?Describe your current antivirus and anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc.If your system has this affliction, whatever you are using for malware protection has failed you.Describe with some more details what "blocked from going online" and "blocked on the task manager" means. Some malware knows what methods you are most likely to use to try to get rid of it, so it thwarts your attempts to use those methods. The malware already knows what most people are going to do - the authors have already figured this out. A victory for them would be if you reinstall your XP from scratch. Some malware will do things like:Prevent you from accessing the Internet where it knows you will search for and possibly find a solution.Redirect your Internet searches away from search engine sites where you might find a solution (Google, Bing, etc.).Redirect your Internet browser from sites where it knows there is a removal process or tool.Prevent such tools from installing or running if you even get to the site in another way or copy tools from another source.Prevent you from using Task Manager so you can terminate processes that belong to it.Prevent you from using regedit where you might find it's references and remove them.Prevent you from using System Restore (this is usually not a good idea anyway).Prevent scanning and removal applications that it knows will detect and remove it (ike MBAM and SAS) from installing or running.Usually, you can just outsmart it, then remove it following the documented removal instructions. Since the Red Cross Antivirus removal process is well documented, you should make an effort to follow those instructions of course. These instructions are written by people that get infected with these things repeatedly on purpose in order to learn how to remove them. Somebody has already figured all this stuff out. Removing malware (or solving other problems) should not involve luck, trial and error or finger crossing. Don't guess what the problem might be - figure it out and fix it. I need YOUR votes and points for helpful replies and Propose as Answers. I am saving up for a pony!
