Is this suppose to be like this or is it a bug.....
Hi I've recently moved over to Windows 7 and I'm starting to like it. However, I've found one minor problem that could have slipped the bug review I'm working alot with VPN tunnels to all my clients (PPTP) and I can have a VPN-tunnel up for hours (also days) It happens (after several hours) that my local network suddenly is not reachable for me, first I thought my server died, but nope. As soon as I drop the VPN everything is back in business (all by it self) So, some part of my local credentials are lost after several hours using VPN (PPTP) tunnel I know that my default gateway is being redirected through the VPN-tunnel, as per standard setting for a MS PPTP tunnel but my local network has never before (WinXP) been affected by this, only my internet activities. Anyone else experienced this?, Is it a known issue that will be solved in a KB or SP I've a super duper standard Win2003 based AD local domain as per out of the box so to speak SBS-solution. Rgds, Kjell

I recommend that you download the latest network adapter driver for Windows 7 and install it. This should not be a bug, because the local connection works at beginning. Such behaviors are controlled by the VPN server. You may contact the VPN server administrator for more information. Additionally, can you access the network on the VPN server side when the issue occurs? If not, I suspect that it is actually dropped from the VPN server.
