Is this malware?
What is mignet assistant service? It is linked to surveys and other pop ups and gets past the stringent pop up blocker setting...it also is in my control panel...any thoughts? Can I get rid of it? Is it needed?

Please let me know what explorer is used? Is it IE? Where it directed to?
I suspect it is a malware. Please use the following tools and boot to Safe Mode to scan the computer.

If the mignet assistant service exists, please go to Program and Feature to uninstall
uYSp_Lrr7EX. Also you can find it in "%System%\uYSp_Lrr7EX.exe".

It is probably malware. Microsoft has an online scanning tool called safety scanner. You may run this at
http://safety.live.com/.
In addition, it is recommended to contact Microsoft PCSafety Phone Support directly. The service number is 1-866-PCSAFETY (1-866-727-2338). PCSafety is a toll-free telephone number provided by Microsoft technical support for end-users that assists customers
in removing malware infections such as viruses, spyware (including unwanted software), and adware. It also helps customers protect their computers by using Windows Firewall, Windows Defender, and Windows Update.
