Is there any hope if the bitlocker recovery key is lost
Hi. I am trying to recovery documents from a hard-drive that cannot load Window 7, due to what appears to be a corrupt registry. I have tried booting in Safe Mode, as well as every other start-up mode, and each time I end up on the Bitlocker key
page. I know it's my own fault, but the thought of loosing thousands of dollars worth of software because of a missing text file, makes me want hurl
I have searched the internet for a possible solution, as other people have had the same problem, and it seems as though nobody understands the situation. So here it goes:
My computer will not boot up I have tried Safe Mode, and every other mode without success I have press the F8 key while booting Windows 7 will not load... I have no access what-so-ever to any form of recovery tool
I have tried inserting the hard-drive into a docking station to retrieve the documents I need, without success
Now before the lecture on backing up data, I just want to throw this out there:
I saved the key on a USB, that I no longer have (it "disappeared" one day at work.).
I realize it's nobody's fault but mine I realize I should have multiple ways of accessing the key I realize a back-door defeats the purpose of encrypting data
I realize I am probably screwed, but my doctor told me I should start trying to be a little more optimistic when I am faced with a conflict.
If there is any hope, or if anyone knows a good hacker, please let me know.
Thanks!

Hello,
I can fully understand your situation. Recovery password and recovery key are very important for recovering a BitLocker Encrypted drive.
As far as I know, you may use BitLocker Repair Tool to recover data from a corrupted or damaged disk volume that was encrypted with BitLocker.
You may need to obtain the following items to help you recover encrypted data from the affected volume:
The drive on which the damaged volume is located. This is the drive that contains the encrypted volume that you want to repair.
The recovery password or the recovery key for the encrypted volume. This is the recovery information that you saved when you enabled BitLocker.
An external hard disk. Use this drive to store the recovered data. This drive must be at least as large as the drive from which you want to recover the data.
Caution All the data on the external drive will be removed when you perform the recovery operation.
A USB flash drive. Use this storage device to store the BitLocker Repair Tool files. You can also store recovery information on this drive.
The Windows 7 DVD. This enables you to start a command prompt.
