Is there an Error-DB?
Hi there, I found a problem in windows 7 and to the result is that I won't use/trust this function any more. The Thing is: If I start msinfo32 on a WINDOWS XP to connect to a remote system it tells me the system has 256 MB RAM. Which is correct. The same procedure on a windows 7 returns the result 256 KB of RAM. Which is very wrong. Now I'd like to give MS the chance to fix that in the future... Where to ask? kind regards, Marco

What is the system of the remote computer? Are the computers in domain or workgroup? I suggest you change the default NTLM authentication level. Please: 1. Launch regedit from Start Search box.2. Find the following branch. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa 3. Create a DWORD key under Lsa and set: Name: LmCompatibilityLevel Value: 1 4. Restart.Arthur Xie - MSFT
