Is there an Answer for Black Screen on Windows 7?
I have been reading 100s of article about Balck screen fix but none helped me to fix my windows 7 black screen. Prevx idea does not wok because, at the black screen, nothing works like task manager or ease of access or anything. It just black and mouse curser that can be moved. I tried to manually edit the registry from Repair computer option ( CMD prompt then Regedit the Changing SHell value to explorer.exe) but it does not save once I restart. Is there any help??? So many people have been benefited from prevx fix, but somany are still struggling because they cant access Task manager from Black screen. This is a second time i am having problem, with in 5 months of using Win7. Initially I had to lose all my setting when I tried to upgrade from Vista. Now a black screen issue. EXPERTS, Please please hear out.... If you post a solution here, there will be thousands of people save their time and money and most importantly save personal data and setting. PLEASE HELPPPPPPP

Just a thought, are you able to boot into safe mode? Did you try swapping the graphic card or use different version of graphic driver?

Hi, Try to perform a disk check as following: 1. Restart the computer, press F8. 2. Select "Repair your computer" 3. Please highligh "Windows 7" and Next. 4. In the dialog box "System Recovery Options", click Command Prompt and type the command: CHKDSK C: /R (press Enter key) 5. Click Y and then check if the system is able to check the hard disk. Hi, Main cause of the Windows 7 Black screen is due to the improper register keys issues in your computer, also critical file missing, and compression of your Windows 7 Operating System files. Improper registry keys are produced by the malwares which are introduced in to your Windows 7 from the Internet connection or any other external media. The obsolete software can replace the entries in your computer with redundant versions. At such conditions you need to take the registry by typing “regedit” in the Run dialogue box. Black screen can also be due to the display driver issues, or selecting a mode that the monitor cannot display, though this may result in a warning on the monitor.
