Can't you expand/stretch the RDC window across the dual monitors? This is what you're attempting to achieve correct?

Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums.
As I know, Multi Monitor is supported in Windows 7 Remote Desktop Client, you can use
mstsc /span parameter to achieve this. But make sure that the monitors
must be the same height and aligned side by side. For detailed on how to configure the settings, please read the following documents:
