Is there a way to avoid toasts and windows coming into focus while typing?
When multitasking it occurs that every few minutes, while typing, something decides to pop up or a toast taskbar balloon appears and takes focus away from the window I'm typing in. Is there a way to pin a window to always be in focus, or an acceesibility option to stop other windows from taking focus?exploring wmplayer 12 secure internet sharing

Hi,It looks like some application windows or balloon pop-up the Notification Area will make focus lost from the active window. It may still happen in Windows 7, although Microsoft has optimized the focusing feature.Could you list windows/pop-ups which may takes focus away? (e.g. MSN email notice, Outlook alerts, etc). do you have the same issue on another Windows 7 PC?Firstly, you should just check the regedit key for this issue.(We all know regedit is important.)1.Click on Start and then Run. 2.In the text box in the Run window, type regedit and click OK. This will open the Registry Editor program. 3.Locate the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder under My Computer and click on the (+) sign next the folder name to expand the folder. 4.Continue to expand folders until you reach the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel registry key. 5.Select the Desktop key under Control Panel. 6.On the right-hand side of the screen, locate and double-click on the ForegroundLockTimeout DWORD. 7.In the Edit DWORD Value window that appears, check if the Value data is 30d40. Note: Make sure the Base option is set to Hexadecimal when entering the DWORD value. You can refer to this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc957208.aspx8.Click OK and then close Registry Editor. 9.Reboot your PC for the changes you made to take effect. From this point forward, programs should no longer steal the focus from the window that you're currently working in. Secondly, you can also use Power Toys: Tweaker v2.1 (for Windows Vista/7) http://www.thewindowsclub.com/downloads/UWT.zipUltimate Windows Tweaker, a Tweak UI for Windows 7 & Vista : http://www.thewindowsclub.com/ultimate-windows-tweaker-v2-a-tweak-ui-for-windows-7-vistaSelect the checkbox from Personalization->Taskbar appearance ->Disable balloon tips PS: If the above steps don’t work, you can use a third-party tool to make your working window always on top.Always on Top: Keep Any Window Visible Always: http://www.labnol.org/software/tutorials/keep-window-always-on-top/5213/ Good luck!
