Is there a gadgets library now?
So they got rid of the gadgets library. I like them and use them and sometimes need to add something new. Did they do the courtesy of letting some third party host the gadgets library or is there some other way to find them without a web search and going to 100 different developers pages?

That's exactly why I was asking. They've done away with the gadget gallery that had hundreds of gadgets in each of many different categories and replaced it with a "gallery" of a couple dozen of their choice. I know it will be different in the next windows but seems rude to just close access to the work of hundreds of developers of gadgets that still do useful things for the version of windows that is still current. I was hoping they'd provided some alternative. Maybe set up some third party to host it or something? Or some third party just picked up the ball?

How is it not related to W7? Gadgets started with Vista but the bulk of them were added after 7 came out and they were made for 7. And MS inserted itself into the process when it made itself the central channel for finding and fetching them. And how do I know who to follow up with if it goes into a black hole of the "related department"?

I hear ya Njem! This is frustrating. I'm searching the internet for gadgets but I'm not finding them. I guess Microsoft is saying "we're going to make Win7 suck so you'll be forced into buying Win8". I was hoping there was another gallery somewhere but I'm not finding it.
