Is there a difference between a work network and a home network?
Is there any difference between a home and work network? Or are they the same settings and just there for our own classification purposes?

A homegroup and a workgroup? Very little difference, if any. But a homegroup will only work withWindows 7 computers, while a workgroup will work with almost any.I recommend the workgroup, since it's more versatile.Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003Ken Blake

thanks. So looks like the only difference between a home network and a work network is just being able to use a homegroup.
