Would you mind clarifying exactly what you are talking about? Yes is microsoft windows xp 7 ultimate sp3 i saw that it came out now in 2010 on may or september. I would like to know if that is the latest version that came out, an upgrade for windows 7.
November 14th, 2010 2:01pm

Then you are seriously mistaken. Microsoft does not have any product called Microsoft Windows XP 7 Ultimate SP3 nor Microsoft Windows XP 7 Royale SP3! There is Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3). There is Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate. So, how can you seriously mark your response as the "Answer" since you don't have the least idea what you are talking about? P.S. I have reported your "Answer" as Abuse because both your question and your answer are felonious! You ask a question about a product that does not exist and then you pat yourself on the back after a second statement about a product that does not exist! You better go back and re-read what you found. It IS NOT a Microsoft product. Microsoft Windows Xp Seven Ultimate Royale SP3 April 2010 | 700 MB # Operating System: Windows XP Sevice Pack 3 x86 (32 bit). # Support SATA: Yes. # Support RAID: Yes. # SCSI support: Yes. # Auto drivers get: Yes SkyDriver v9.9. # Internet Explorer 8: Yes # Windows Media Player 11: Yes # Hotfixes: Yes (updated to April 2010) # Update online: Yes. # CD Key: Already available add. # File Photo: File ISO standard. # File download: WinRAR. Microsoft does not publish their products in WinRAR format. Downloads like these usually have all kinds of malware because they are target at the ignorant people who will download anything. Install it on your computer and it will be infested with all kinds of malware! In the future when you find illegal stuff posted on the internet, don't act like an idiot and come to a Microsoft froum asking if it's real. If you had taken the time to read, if you can read, you would have noted that there was not one link to a Microsoft website. That package was put together by scammers who will lure any ignorant sucker into downloading their illegally pirated software that 99.9% of the time is full of malware. So, are you really a stupid as you act or do just want people to think you're stupid? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. There is no edition of any version of Windows called "royale." Exactly what do you mean? 2. SP3 is the latest version of Windows XP. That has nothing to do with Windows 7. 3. Windows XP was replaced by Windows Vista, which was replaced by Windows 7. They are three separate versions of Windows. AN upgrade to XP, such as SP3, can not be used on Windows 7. 4. The latest version of Windows 7 is the same version that was released about a year ago. There have been no newer versions since the original release. Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP

Looks like a pirated copy of XP SP3, "transformation pack" to look like Windows 7 included, some gimmicks (an OEM brand selection!) and probably harmful gifts also included. Stay away from it."192 GB ought to be enough for anybody." (from the miniseries "Next Generation's Jokes")

Is this legit or not? This link says it is a MS leak? I have a PC I'm working on that system info comes up "Platform: windows 7 xp royale". The case has a XP Home Edition Key on it. I don't know whether to tell this lady it is a bootleg and to remove it or not. It doesn't act like W7 or XP. http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=XP%20Royale%20Theme&v=Microsoft&uid=&pf=2&pi=5&c=Utilities&sc=PC%20Management&os=32-bit Can you clear this up please.

Apparently there is a legitimate Windows XP theme package called XP Royale Theme but there is not a legitimate edition of Windows called Windows 7 XP Royale or Windows XP 7 Royale. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. The theme must change system version info when installed. Why anyone would want this is beyond me. I guess it is kids trying to look like they got a more up to date system.
November 19th, 2010 2:10pm

Installation of the theme does not change anything about the system version. I installed in my XP Mode to check it and all it does is change the desktop to look more like Vista. If the system version has any of that trash in it then it is the pirated garbage mentioned before. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. It is a hp compac and has a windows XP Home ED key on the case. It updates on windows update. I put avast on it and it runs fine. At this point I think it is a legit XP version that has had multiple things put on it and done to it to make look different. It also has a styler toolbar. So unless your telling me that it is imposible to change the "text" on the info screen to read "Platform: windows 7 xp royale" then I'm not removing someones OS till I have solid proof. Isn't there something Microsoft runs to check the OS to see if it is legit? BTW booting it just has a standard XP screen. She might want to scrap it anyway since I got her Dell going. I hope so, I really hate that Compac at the moment. Cheers I just found it on youtube. 25 seconds in you will see the info screen with "Platform: windows 7 xp royale". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDeJQ_VOsEM

It's not from Microsoft, and comes from a Vietnamese site. Their own words: "This copy of Windows was created by the Board of Trustees softvnn.com with the desire to give you a perfect, stable copy of Windows. Was created from a Windows Xp SP3 original MSDN integrated Internet Explorer 8, Windows Media Player 11 and the latest patch (to be updated to March 2010). ... CD Key: Add available." (translated from Vietnamese, http://softvnn-blog.blogspot.com/2010/03/microsoft-windows-xp-seven-royale-sp3.html). If you take a closer look at your YouTube video, you'll see that's exactly your version. Btw, changing the displayed OS information is a breeze, as difficult as changing a registry key."192 GB ought to be enough for anybody." (from the miniseries "Next Generation's Jokes")

She can use the drive in the legit dell PC for backup. I hope Microsoft will get a copy of it off the net and fix their update site to catch it. Well my question part of this thread is now answered. Thanks all.
