Is this legit or not? This link says it is a MS leak? I have a PC I'm working on that system info comes up "Platform: windows 7 xp royale". The case has a XP Home Edition Key on it. I don't know whether to tell this lady it is a bootleg and to remove it or not. The theme must change system version info when installed. Why anyone would want this is beyond me. I guess it is kids trying to look like they got a more up to date system.

Installation of the theme does not change anything about the system version. I installed in my XP Mode to check it and all it does is change the desktop to look more like Vista. It is a hp compac and has a windows XP Home ED key on the case. It updates on windows update. I put avast on it and it runs fine. At this point I think it is a legit XP version that has had multiple things put on it and done to it to make look different. It also has a styler toolbar. So unless your telling me that it is imposible to change the "text" on the info screen to read "Platform: windows 7 xp royale" then I'm not removing someones OS till I have solid proof. Isn't there something Microsoft runs to check the OS to see if it is legit? BTW booting it just has a standard XP screen. She might want to scrap it anyway since I got her Dell going. I hope so, I really hate that Compac at the moment.
