Is it possible to restrict calling PSTN numbers from Lync mobile client, even though user is enabled for Enterprise Voice ?

Is it possible to restrict calling PSTN numbers from Lync mobile client, even though user is enabled for Enterprise Voice ?

The idea is to allow Enterprise Voice enabled users to make PSTN calls only via Desktop Clients only.

Thanks for your sugges

You will need to set a mobility policy.

Set-CsMobilityPolicy -Identity site:Redmond EnableIPAudioVideo $False

Note: Replace "Redmond" with your site name.

When set to False, prohibits the user from making Lync voice calls using the
mobile device by removing the dial pad option from the Lync client. The default
value is True, meaning that VoIP calls are allowed.

Hello Gautam,

In addition to what Kevin said, don't forget to disable "Call via work" for this policy as well.

Call via work is the feature that if enabled will allow mobile users to make PSTN calls through your PBX.

So if you really want to block all PSTN calls your command will look like this;

Set-CsMobilityPolicy -Identity site:Redmond EnableIPAudioVideo $False -EnableOutsideVoice $False

Dear Hazem and Kevin,

Thanks for your advise, I created a user level policy as below

Identity                                  : Tag:EnableMoblityNoEV
Description                               :
EnableOutsideVoice                        : False
EnableMobility                            : True
EnableIPAudioVideo                        : False
RequireWIFIForIPAudio                     : False
RequireWIFIForIPVideo                     : False
AllowCustomerExperienceImprovementProgram : True
RequireWiFiForSharing                     : False
AllowSaveCallLogs                         : True
AllowExchangeConnectivity                 : True
AllowSaveIMHistory                        : True
AllowSaveCredentials                      : True

The dial-pad still shows in the Lync mobile clinet as well the user is still able to call PSTN numbers. I have checked the replication, it is working fine.

Thanks.
