If you did NOT have Vista previously, no. You might be able to find a friend running Vista and copy the Windows Mail folder from their Program Files folders, since as far as I know it will run, and restore its own registry settings. However, I'm not sure if that would be entirely legal since the app wasn't included in Windows 7. You are getting into sketchy territory there. I don't know, and have not heard, about downgrade rights for Vista. You would need to contact MS and get a valid Vista product key at any rate. If you like the laptop, and consider this worth downgrading, you can always call and ask. The worst they can say is no. That said, there are other mail clients besides Windows Mail that will work nicely. My father is a technophobe, and he swears by Thunderbird.
