Is history of documents previewed in preview pane saved in windows 7
When you open a doc in word, pdf or explorer, there is a history of that record in the softwares log files as well as in windows log files. If I view a documents like .html, .pdf or .doc, in windows 7 preview pane, would it also save the document history ? What about if i play a music file say .mp3 or .avi, would that be different or same scenario? Also is there a way to view .lit files in preview pane?

Hi, Based on my understanding, the content in preview pane is just a thumbnail image, because you could not edit or modify file in preview pane. For general files, such as word, html files, you could select the default program to view them in Windows Explorer, so I suspect this depends on if the object contains an embedded thumbnail image. If you want to view .lit files in preview pane, please kindly refer to the following article: Preview Code Files in Windows 7 Hope it helps.
