Is Microsoft contacting people in the Asia Pacific region via telephone to fix a problem.
I had been contacted today by an Indian accented man representing that he is from Microsoft. It was stated that thee is a problem with my PC, and proceeded to guide me to an area in "My Computer". I just listened to him for a while, and did nothing to my PC. He stated it was to do with XP only, and I have no XP product registered with windows, only Vista. So it is possible there is a problem, but this is so unlike Microsoft. Is there any advice that there is a problem, as I am aware that I may have a PC which is a Zombie which is a work PC, but it is not registered in my name. I am inclined to think this is a serious scam which frees up your settings to allow some malware to be down loaded, but I didn't string him along long enough. 1 person got this answerI do too
