Is 2nd computer connected by a router protected?
I was having connection issues using my current Firewall, and after may attempts to resolve such, I disabled that Firewall and enabled my Windows Firewall. My daughter's computer, which is connected to mine by a wired router ( Netgear) had also been experiencing the same issues, so I also disabled the first Firewall from hers and went to enable Windows Firewall on hers as well. However, the activation window on her computer ( which should allow me to click on either Windows Firewall On or Windows Firewall Off ) was not highlighted, so I was unable to choose ON. So my question is this: Is that because her computer is connected to mine and I had already chosen ON as the option on the main computer? Is her computer automatically now protected as well, and therefore I can't make the selection on her computer? I am really concerned that she is not protected by my Firewall, since I don't seem to be able to make that selection on her computer--HELP1 person needs an answerI do too

Your computer's firewall only protects your computer. It doesn't protect your daughter's computer, and it doesn't stop another firewall from working on her computer.Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional
