Ipv6 limited connection google only?
I purchased my new HP laptop, and tested it on the Staples network to make sure that the internet connected properly. When I went to my girlfriends house I connected to the network no problem, but for some reason the only website that works is Google! All other web pages will time out. Now I've been dumbfounded and can't figure this issue out at all. Does anyone have any similar experiences that they have worked through the issue?

Hi, Thank you for posting. Based on my research, I would like to suggest trying the following to narrow down the issue: 1. Check if other computers on the network work properly. 2. If you bypass the router and connect to Internet directly, will it work? 3. Boot the system to Safe Mode with networking to see if it works. 4. Please check the router and the network adapter settings. You may check your network settings referring to other good computer. 5. Ensure that the computer is using the correct DNS server for name resolutions. Please run the following command in a command prompt: >nslookup >www.microsoft.com (You can also try other URLs.) Will the correct IP address be returned? 6. Reset IE settings How to reset Internet Explorer settings http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 7. If you have configured proxy, please disable it. I also want to know which network you are using, IPv4 or IPv6? And how do you configure the connection? Please also run CMD and then ipconfig /all on the computer and post the result to the thread for our further research. Hope this helps Thanks.
