Ipv6 and Bridged Connections
Hi guys, I've been having some issues with home home network lately. Basically I've been trying to setup a homegroup. The problem is they only work under ipv6. Also, I have a ps3 connected to one of the computers via crossover cable. This computer is connected to the internet wirelessly. I'm Bridging these two connections using the bridge connections feature. It seems like bridge connection only supports ipv4. This in turn seems to down grade the whole wireless connection to ipv4, causing the homegroup sharing not to work. (ping to the ipv6 address no longer works as well). Is there a way I can work around this limitation?

Hi, To create and join HomeGroup, you only need turn on IPv6 feature in Network Connection’s Properties. When configuring IP address, you can manually assign IPv4 IP address instead of using IPv6 and HomeGroup still can be created. For more information about HomeGroup, please refer to the following article: Create HomeGroup Thanks, Novak
