Interpretation of Wirewall log
I have problem of accessing from A machine to B machine's shared folder. I reviewed the firewall log at the machine B and the following appears to have something to do with the problem, but I am unable to understand what those mean: 2011-06-26 10:41:40 ALLOW UDP 192.168.1.152 192.168.1.105 137 57012 0 - - - - - - - SEND 2011-06-26 10:41:40 ALLOW TCP 192.168.1.105 192.168.1.152 49256 445 0 - 0 0 0 - - - RECEIVE The IP of 192.168.1.105 is the machine A, and 192.168.1.152 is the machine B.

Hi, Thanks for the post. These entries mean that the firewall allow NetBIOS OVER TCP/IP traffic to pass through it. You may access the following link for more information. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/204279 I suggest you to disable the firewall for a test. If you can access the shared folders, then use remote IP address to access the folders after enabling firewall. If you receive any error message, please provide the exact information here. We will help you analyse it. Also, you may follow the following steps to check this issue. 1. Disable SMBv2. 2. Lower the NTLM Authentication level. Juke Chou TechNet Subscriber Support in forum.
