Internet disconnects - Netgear WGT624 v4
I just finished installing Windows 7 Beta and all is fine. It was the upgrade from Vista to 7.My internet seems to be having a problem and i know it's the computer because my other computers stay connected while this one gets disconnected. It runs about 1-5 minutes and just stops! So i go to the network and sharing center and I see the picture at the top with both X's on the lines. So i click it, it diagnoses it and fixes it. Then repeat; lose connection, diagnose, fix....etc etc.I don't know what else to do :(

I've tried that as well, many times i might add. I've done restarts, shutdowns, shutdowns with router/modem restarts.... ipconfig /release and /renew...Right now, it has changed the way it drops my internet. It does it every 15 minutes now instead of the 1-5 minutes...All drivers seems to be functioning correctly as well. I also tried removing the router all together and go straight from the modem, it does the same thing, but my laptop on Vista does not do it nor does my Iphone...

I have the same problem. Also tried the same things. I get the "Limited or No Connectivity" warning popup. However, it will fix it's self after a few minutes, but going ofline every 15 minutes is somewhat annoying.

OK I had this as well, I updated the OS on my router (just in case) but to no avail, so lacking any further option I switch my ethernet connection from port 2 to port 1, I'm running a Nvidea 790i chipset motherboard and thought that both network connections were the same and for me the port 2 was in an area far less cluttered than port 1.Anyway since doing this my system has been super stable, I had 1 drop out not long after switching (possibly brought on by it trying to fix port 2 when I switched) but since then absolute fine and wonderful workings - and to think 12 hrs ago I was about to reformat it was that bad

I am having the same issue. I've come to notice that it will only break the connection when there is a video playing. or any signifigant about of bandwidth is being transfered. most notiably youtube. It seems that if you don't play anyform of video while transfering data you'll be fine.watching videos in windows media player also breaks the connection. the issue has gotten better sincethe beta was first released but it's still very, very annoying.

Hi I am having a similar problem where if i start up my computer then do an large download, (this has happened syncing newgroups and browsing google earth) i will lose my network connections - i lose access to the whole network. I can browse the net forever providing it's nothing heavy on bandwidth, but the moment i start any large download i will lose it. Once i have hibernated then resumed my computer, it will work fine. At the moment, whenever i do a clear start-up i hibernate immeidiately then resume before i start any work but this is very annoying. Is anyone doing anything about this as i mentionied this problem in another thread i started about related network problems and have so far received no reply. P.S. I have an NVidia Motherboard and windows reports i am connected to Port 2, even tho that port used to be identified as Port 1 until i had to remove the device from device manager then re-install it because of networking problems.

I have also noticed that the network will drop with high-bandwidth usage, particularly streaming video. I tried adjusting my TCP/IP connection with static settings, as I suspected a DHCP problem with renewals. The connection stayed up for over 5 hours before failure, and ever since then is back to the sub-1 hr behavior as before. I am convinced the problem will be resolved by a new NIC driver (Linksys WMP300N v1) but neither MS nor Linksys have responded with any information about a revision. Unfortunately this is a real deal-breaker when it comes to considering rolling out Win7

I am having exactly the same problem. Using an EVGA 680i motherboard with the on-board NIC, installed the latest drivers and if I do anything with high bandwidth, I lose my connection.
