I have a network with four computers, one of the computers with windows XP professional has suddenly a problem. The problem as follow:The PC desktop cannot make a connection with the Internet and the network icon at the bottom right corner of the computer has disappeared. When I tried to connect manually I received a message which shows : error 7971 person needs an answerI do too

Error 797 - The modem could not be found.How is the computer connected to the modem? Wireless or ethernet cable?If cable check connections.Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell
