Internet Security 2010
Internet Security 2010 created a Windows Login high jacker. When I log in, even in safe mode, I get a brief glimpse of my desktop and then it says that I am logging off and saving my settings. I then go back to my original log in screen (for me it is XP Home Edition sp3). I have software (Malwarebytes) to remove threat now, but I cannot log in. Any way to cirumvent the normal log in screen to ge tot my desktop?

Trained security analysts have tools that they can run to keep that from happening prior to running MBAM. You will need someone to walk you through the steps, however. In order to find a helper, I suggest that you post at one of the forums that handles these situations. If you are unable to obtain the required log(s) for posting, explain that in your first message. There is a list of forums here: http://hjt-data.trendmicro.com/hjt/analyzethis/index.php Good luck!

Try to boot to safemode with networking: Turn off the computer by pressing the power button for 5 to 10 seconds. Then turn it back on, before you see the manufacturers logo start tapping the F8 button. It will take you to the Windows Advance options menu. Then use the up and down arrow key to highlight safe mode with networking then press enter. If you still cannot boot even in safe mode with networking. Try last known good configuration.
