I am using IE9 and in the last few days it will not open external links, for example I was just prompted with related topis when posting this question and IE wont open any of the links provided. It opens a blank tab instaed. I have three other machines all running Win 7 (as is this one) and IE9 works fine on them. I have disabled pop up blocker so its not that. I went back to EI8 and found the smme problem there, so went back to IE9 The problem started after a Microsoft Update last week. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi, According to your description, I suggest to perform these tests to troubleshoot the issue: 1 Boot with Safe Mode with networking to see the result 2 Temporally disable firewall 3 Run IE with no add-ons. Also delete cookies, temporary files, restore advanced settings in IE 4 Register DNS via command: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns If the issue persists, since it works well last week, you can perform a system restore for test.
