Internet Explorer doesn't connect to internet.
After a bout with malware, I was able to get firefox going so I could ask this question, however, both explorer and firefox were stalled after the malware bout. Although I believe my computer is clean now, and I have reinstalled ie8, I still get a message that it cannot connect to outside web addresses. My internet connection is fine and email works. My IM (AIM) says it cannot connect to proxy server. I suspect my security settings but everything is set to a medium setting. Help?

Hi,What is the exact error message that you receive when you try to access websites?Try these steps:a. Open Internet Explorer.b. Click on Tools and then click on Internet Options.c. Now click on Connections tab.d. Then click on LAN settings.e. Uncheck the option. “Use a proxy server for your LAN”.f.
