Internet Explorer and Windows Live Mail with dial up connection
I've been working on a Windows 7 Home Premium laptop, and lately it hasn't been having a stable connection to the internet. I know the user account settings and service is legitimate with the ISP, and that the hardware is functional (external modem tested on another computer system). The problem I have, though, is that the laptop can successfully dial in, but the connection fails upon opening either Internet Explorer and Windows Live Mail. After it fails, reconnecting takes rebooting the laptop to establish the connection, but starts over with the problem with the connection failing upon opening either IE or WLM. Am I the only one to run into this problem? I've tried digging into this over web-based resources, but either I'm poorly wording it, or it's a rare occurrence. Thanks!
