This problem crops up every 3 or 4 days. I use 32 bit and 64 bit versions of IE9 on a Windows 7 64 bit platform. In posting I have realised that I do not know whether the error applies only to one version or both versions of IE9. Does anyone have any thoughts? Hi, The issue also can be caused by third party software confliction. You can test the issue in Safe Mode with networking. If the issue doesn't occur in Safe Mode, then perform clean boot. Niki Han TechNet Community Support

The problem with both suggestions is that the error is not occuring at frequent intervals. It has occurred today the 29 April 2012. The previous time the error arose was 16 April 2012 and before that 12 April 2012. Gerry
