Unfortunately, this error message is too vague to be helpful.
Check the "Application" Windows log in the Event Viewer to see if there's any record related to this problem that could provide more informations about it.

Hi,
I just wonder whether this problem occurs on every website?
If so, please try to reset IE then check the problem again.
1.Go to Control Panel –All Control Pane Items - Internet Options.
2.Choose Advanced tag, click “Reset…” button, click OK in the pop-up box.
3.Click OK to close Internet Options, then restart Internet Explorer
If the issue persists, you could collect the IE log for further researching:
IE related log is located in the following location:
"%windir%\logs\ie9_nr_setup.log"
"%windir%\ie9_main.log"
"%windir%\ie9.log"
"%windir%\ie9_uninst.log"
Hope that helpsWilliam Tan

As Zhen Tan mention,
"If so, please try to reset IE then check the problem again.
1.Go to Control Panel –All Control Pane Items - Internet Options.
2.Choose Advanced tag, click “Reset…” button, click OK in the pop-up box.
3.Click OK to close Internet Options, then restart Internet Explorer"
Normally reset should resolve the issue
