Internet Connectivity Problems
I have an HP Touchsmart 610 PC running Windows 7. I consistently keep losing internet connection for about 2 or 3 mins and when connectivity drops it is accompanied by a yellow exclamation mark over the internet connection display in the bottom right hand corner of my screen. When I troubleshoot I only really get a message saying that your wireless router is experiencing connectivity issues. When the connectivity returns the yellow mark disappears and all returns to normal. My computer is the only one connected to the network. I have tried the following things; Turned router on and offreinstalled router softwarereset my ip addressdisabled windows firewalldisabled Norton firewallpurchased a new routerchanged router connections including filters Contacted my internet service provider (who say "all is well our end") If anybody could help me resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated as I am completely out of ideas. My current router (the new one) is a netgear and the software is installed on my pc. Thanks in advance.

Could you specify "losing internet connection "? You cannot ping external hosts, or you cannot reach external host with FQDN, or graphical description of Internet connection pretend that the Internet is not reachable. 1. It would be helpful to test connectio n to Internet with another computer. 2. What is output of ipconfig /all ? 3. Not only disable AV but remove it with vendor's removal tool. Regards Milos

hi, please check the following. ping from your windows 7 system to your router IP. ping it continuously ( for example ping 192.168.1.1 -t ) check where any drops are happening. there should be more than 4 ms. If you get more than 4 ms continuously. then you should check the wire connection between your windows 7 system to the router end. Or else it may be your network driver issue from windows 7 system. hence check from other good windows 7 system at the same locaiton and check the issue is still persist or not.
