Internet Connection Sharing
Hello, Please could someone help me understand the following problem. Historically I had aNetgear RP614 wired cablemodem router, to which which I had connected my vista home premium laptop, a HP 2605dn and my XBOX360.All worked well. However, I now don't have cable anymorebut there is a BTOpenzone access point in my building. I wish to now use the Netgear as a switch only and connect to the internet via the wireless card in my laptop. The problem is: 1.) When the ethernet connection is disabled to the router but wirless enabled I can connect to the internet. 2.) When the ethernet connection is enabled and wirless disabled I can connect to the devices on my network. 3.) When both wirless and internet are enabled I can connect to neither internet or devices. If it is even possible could someone please explain what I need to do to allow this setup to work and hence allow my XBOX to share the web connection. Thanks.

Hi, It is impossible to enable the two connections on one computer. You can only switch one of them if the connection is needed. You may configure to connect the BT_Openzone to the router. http://www.btopenzone.com/downloads/BT_Openzone_in-a-Box_installation_guide.pdf This BT_Openzone instruction document has introduced how to configure BT_Openzone in a Netgear router (in section 7). If there is any question regarding how to configure, please contact BT_Openzone support. http://www.btopenzone.com/contact/index.jsp Important Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support.
