Internet Connection Problems
I have a strange problem with my internet connection. Sometimes Internet Explorer cannot display webpages and when I try and repair it, It says "Can't communicate with Microsoft", blah, blah. BUT, at the same time yahoo! messenger, limewire and bitcomet are downloading. I reset the adapter but to no avail. This also happens with Firefox. A temporary solution is to restart Windows. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate edition. Can anybody help me with this?

Hi, Thank you for your post. Before we go further, I would like to confirm the following points with you: 1. What is the exact wording of the error message displaying on IE when you try to browse a website? Please capture a screenshot for further research if there is any error message popping up. 2. Which website cannot be accessed? Some or all of websites? 3. How do the machine get to the Internet? Via Proxy Server? 4. Is there any other computers located in the same network? If the computer just cannot browse website when the issue occurs, please perform the following steps to reset IE: 1. Disable all add-ons:Right-click the Internet Explorer icon on the Desktop, and then click Start Without Add-ons.If you do not have an IE icon on the Desktop, please click start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). 2. If disabling all add-ons resolves the issue, please use Add-ons Manager to narrow the issue down on the problematic add-on. 3. If disabling add-ons doesnt resolve the issue, please try to reset IE back to its default settings:3.1. Close all IE or Windows Explorer windows.3.2. Open a new IE window.3.3. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.3.4. Click Advanced tab, and then click Reset.3.5. Close IE and reopen it for the changes to take effect. If the issue persists after performing above steps, please refer to the following KB article and perform a Clean Boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 Hope it helps.
