Internet Backgammon is not a part of Windows7
I have seen a number of postings regarding the absence of Internet Backgammon in Windows Vista. I have recently purchased a laptop that has Windows7 and I was quite disappointed to see that Internet Backgammon was missing. I was quite happy with that feature available with XP. Some folks have responded to complaints similar to mine by suggesting Zone, but that is not the same as Internet Backgammon in more ways than one. I wonder if Microsfot has a gaming package that contains Internat Backgammon as well as other games present in XP that can be downloaded and installed in Windows7.

Windows 7 does have internet Backgammon. It's not turned on during installation. You get to it by opening Default Programs, click on Programs and Features at the lower left, then Turn Windows features on or off, in the Windows features panel, click on Games to expand the tree, then Internet Games, and Internet Backgammon is one of the options. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. When I expand the Games tree I do not have Internet Games option at all. Only the standard games are listed and all of them are ticked... Could you explain to me why is that? I just bought a new laptop and am really hoping to get the Backgammon. Thank you for your help.
